If you make a video call with Instagram Vanish Mode, the usual “started” and “ended” message that appears in the chat won’t appear.
You can enable Vanish mode on Instagram as below:
- Open Instagram and log in to your profile.
- Swipe right from your feed or tap on the paper plane icon to open the Instagram direct.
- Open the chat you want to delete its call history.
- Turn on the Vanish Mode in the options.
The other way is to swipe up in a user’s chat to enable the vanish mode. After doing that, the Vanish mode deletes calls and messages you make automatically.
Delete Instagram Call History by Deleting Instagram Chat History:
Once you delete the user’s chat history, call history will be deleted from the call section too.
- Click on the chat you want to delete its call history.
- After that, long-press on the chat to delete it.
- A pop-up will appear, and after hitting the “confirm,” the chat and the call history will be deleted completely.
As you see, there is no straightforward way to delete Instagram video call history so that you can use these backup ways! But still, there is another way which is a bit different.
Another way to clear your video chat history:
If you switch your Instagram account to a professional one, you can hide your video and voice call history.
Besides, users might not agree to switch their accounts because of this option!
But having a professional account offers you lots of other features which you don’t have access to in your personal account.
So we don’t recommend it to clear your video calls history but consider it as an option.
If you want to switch your Instagram account to a professional one, you can use these steps:
- Head to your profile and tap on 3 lines at the top of the screen.
- Go to the setting part and click on the “Account” tab.
- Scroll down and find the option which says switch your account to a professional one.
After doing all these, you can switch your account to a professional one and enjoy its features, along with hiding your voice chat or video chat history.
